Today, March 18th , the first school-family partnerships training class of this term was held in our school international communication center.
I could read the smile from the students' parents faces. That was the encouragement, the push, and the recognition.
Several nice surprises still kept in my mind.
Edward L. Prichard III
He stooped to come among us all the time. Yes, he gave his oral English class to all the students' parents and his special lead-in of his class attracted them. With a pair of copper bells in his hand, he made a soft clear and melodious sound, murmuring that we should thank our prarents for their love, the school for its first-class education and most importantly ourselves for our diligence. His class was a kind of vivid and live one!
And the following is his feedback sent to my Wechat.
You are most welcome! It was an honor to be there today and meet the parents. Although I had no idea what you spoke of today, but I can read from your expressions, in America we say, ‘you spoke like a Kennedy today...’ You spoke with confidence and conviction. Proud to see you speak my friend. Will see you next Monday. Thank u!
The drizzling rain
Spring rain is as precious as oil. Early this morning I checked and there was no broadcast of rain today. But after the training I found it was wet outside. Anyway it was an auspicious omen, just a little inconvenient for the students back home.
Just at the very beginning of her class to show to the stduents parents before the training, the computer in the classroom broke down. May, the young English IELTS teacher was so confident that she took out her own cellphone and started her topic, "Mobilephone". Her beautiful pronunciation and intonation was praised by all present.
